Nevada City Fire Advisory Committee Meeting

Information from Erin Minett, Council Member, City of Nevada City:

There will be a presentation from the consultants who are working on the Nevada City safety element, which hasn’t been updated since 1989.

SURVEY: There is Nevada City Safety Questionnaire, which they would like to get out to as many people as possible. The Survey will be available until September 24, 2021. Feel free to send the link it to anyone you may know! 

The focus is climate change and wildfires. They need as much public input – especially from the firewise groups – as possible. This will allow them to change ordinances, apply for grants for fire mitigation and hopefully move forward on making Nevada City a safer place to live.
